( berach + kafka )

berach is an ex-pandora tamer who spends most of his time napping or watching TV (or at school, but his hours are quite forgiving). he appears lazy to most, but it's really just a matter of motivation: why should he expend energy on things that don't matter to him?

yeah, he doesn't know either. so he doesn't.

he's intelligent and pretty easily bored -- most of his drive is for entertainment. ... and this usually manifests in childish jabs at others, and, when he's feeling up to it, some hardcore trolling. he used to be really into pandora-sponsored arena battles, but the repition of it got to him. (he's not so cool with the idea of a corporation pushing him around.)

deep down he's a pretty empathetic dude, but, it takes quite a while to get to that part of him. he usually can't be bothered to care about others unless he's known them for some time... that said, when he does get close (or even once he's deemed someone friend material), he gets pretty protective. and that tends to warp into possessive/jealous behavior, and it can get pretty nasty. ... but he's working on it.

and kafka is his partner, a flamon. he's basically berach in miniature -- he looks up to ber and tries to imitate him whenever possible. the only thing that hasn't quite caught on his ber's laziness: kafka is a source of unextinguishable energy and likes to battle and explore on his own when ber is unavailable. (that said, he much prefers to stay at ber's side.)

FRIENDS - -

wanna be ber's friend? he's lined up to join justin's gang, so other members would likely fall here. other people who might fit the criteria are those that are like-minded: lazy, trollish, or interested in the same things as ber. (ber doesn't much like people who are chipper and running at 110% all day every day -- those people tend to try and drag him around and he is having none of that.)

that said, he could use a friend who's actually a good influence -- someone who's nice and motivated and not looking to use him just to sate their own boredom.

LOVERS - -

so, some lucky lady/gentleman/other has caught ber's eye? he's surprisingly sappy and cuddly and touchy-feely, so, watch out. just like friends, it takes him a while to get close enough to someone to desire romantic attachment, but, once he's attached, he often becomes unhealthily possessive. the jealousy is strong with this one

so, i think it would be interesting for him to fall for someone, and then have to deal with the fallout of his clingy/overprotective nature -- which, obviously, could go very, very wrong. (if you can get through that, though, i imagine he's a very loving, supportive partner to have.)

EMEMIES

for starters, anyone who's against justin's gang would likely fall here. i'm also looking for people who've been pissed off by his trolling, or perhaps sore losers he's beaten in the arena.

... he isn't the easiest person to get along with, sure, but aside from the scenarios listed above he usually doesn't go too far out of his way to make enemies. most likely, people who dislike him are simply going to ignore him.

OTHERS

i'm not looking for anything else specific (yet), but i love plottins and am up for just about anything. feel free to ask/suggest~

* oh, but if someone happened to make a character with a eusine fc, and if the two happened to become friends and if they happened to gallop across the digital world looking for hououmon i would not have a problem with that at all

edit: she can be the good friend of goodytwoshoeness, that aside she doesnt stop people from doing wrong so she might be a good influence as long as she doesn't have to actively stop anything because she wouldn't

Hana - pretty sure we've already labeled these two as frenemies. And it will be awesome. *thinks* Eh, Hana might not be too put off by his trolling (laziness, def, but trolling, no) and might. MIGHT. end up having a small crush on him because he's funny stuff but prolly wouldn't say anything because she has reasonz.

Hey.... what would happen if Justin DID happen to take up for a bit with Ber? But... eventually left because he really and truly does love Sheska? (that's def going to happen, sorry). But I'd be up for interesting consequences of Justin manipulating Ber's emotions to make him loyal to and only to the gang!

@ HANA -- yupyup, frenemies 4 lyfeeee. and if you wanna throw in some awkward sexual-ish tension for good kicks i see absolutely no problem.... :I and um. see below for possible ramifications of justin's plottage idea.

@ JUSTIN -- x'D well uh.

if ber was actually crushin' on justin, and justin leaves, he's gonna flip a shit and probably form his own gang to attack justin's, especially what with sheska also being in the gang and HWWOARRRR, you know. proper, rational, adult response.

if he finds out that, after having had feelings for justin, that justin did not have feelings for him and was using him, he'll flip and even BIGGER shit and probably-- ... good lord i don't even wanna know what he'd do. it's guaranteed to be pretty extreme, though. ... and then he'd probably either get really clingy towards his other friends, or start to mistrust everyone and get all creepy and stalkery. ... :I not sure.

so, in summary: bad things.
but fun things to write

Justin & Ber - LOL. Start his own gang?! That would actually be a fantastic thing to happen. We totally need more gangs. But it might only go that far - it's possible/probable that Justin's feelings might be genuine to a certain extent since Sheska is so miserable to him and it would be super nice to have someone want him for once. But ultimately he'd just really, really love Sheska and would take any chance to be with her, even at the expense of someone else (because he's just like that).

But he'd still have at first been manipulating Ber out of simple unemotional need to have control and desire to strengthen the gang.

Hana&Ber - awkward sexual-ish tension with frenemies is kinda exactly what I was thinking about. Because I like to torture my characters and break their hearts. (I frequently break them and break them hard on other sites, so this is shockingly nice, all things considered)
