"K-sama..."
"Shh! It's okay Nami!"
"But K-sama!! This is wrong-desu!!"
"I know what I'm doing, I've dine that countless times!"
She pouted once more at her partner. This was completely unacceptable! Her job as the Digimon partner was to watch out for the boy, but with his immediate productiveness such was almost impossible, and they wound up sneaking right under the security's noses, running around the hallways and making sure nobody sees them while they approach ever closer to the STAFF ONLY room in the back. Kaiki, he was such a punk to do that! But personally he had a reason for that, even if it never justified such actions. Good reason or not, he was still trespassing, and that was why Nami was so mad at him.
Kaiki was enthusiastic, but extra careful as he swiftly dashed through the short hallways, holding his rabbit-like partner close to his chest. Soon, he had arrived at the desired spot, recalling who it was he was going to meet today. Lunamon -- Nami -- while acting motherly and caring, was still learning from the human about mostly everything, and while holding a high sense of right and wrong was still under the human's care. He couldn't allow her to somehow end up getting busted, mainly due to the fact her short legs (short looking, at least,) would slow them down. Plus, the person they were going to meet was much more experienced in everything, she cold pose an example to the young one and good company for the boy.
Shortly on the run, they had arrived by the door. Silent yet noticeable knocks were sounded against the wooden door with the sign saying clearly 'Staff Only', by no other than the trespasser after letting his Digimon down. This was the place, though hopefully she would open quick before security finds the guy in wolf ears and tail.
"Come on, come on, come on...!"
He still spoke silently though, Kaiki couldn't afford being caught. Now it was also a lot more likely for it to happen, too...

Ran yawned, she wasn't doing any bar work today, however the boss often asked Ran to come in and do all the bookkeeping and such, and that was what she was doing today. She noticed a knock at the door, she walked over to the door and opened it. It was unusual for someone to knock at the door, so she was quite curious as to who it was. She looked over at her Botamon friend, who was happily plopping around. She was curious as to how long it would be before he or she evolved. It seemed like the little one was taking more time than she had remembered her old digimon.
She sighed, looking down as she opened the door she noticed a boy with cat ears, upon closer inspection the child seemed familiar, "Wait... you're Fuuko's kid." She remembered visiting her several times with her mother when Fuuko was in the hospital. The boy was always quite the shy one from what she remembered, but they were nine years apart so it could have just been her age.

As he gave knocks in rows of three at a time, Kaiki grew more and more wary of the security that might come and find him, probably forcing him out very aggressively. He had the guts to sneak in, but was very much aware of the consequences and that it was wiser to act powerless against the guards -- but still dared risk the chance just to go meet this particular person, only to say hellow after a long time of missing his actual self in her eyes. He recalled those times when he had appeared quite distant, shy in a sense when his Otaku features were dispatched for a long three months. Now he was after many cases involving personal life, meetings, jobs and people met specifically and thus, right now most likely had the courage the face this woman properly. If just hopping by for a friendly visit between family members wasn't a sufficient reason, then discovering a new part of the world to Luna was. This was utterly important. She probably knew it, but the Lunamon couldn't help but frown at the way it was done.
The door was shortly opened to reveal the huge woman, towering over Kaiki by nearly a head if not more. She hasn't changed since last time -- well, perhaps the clothing was different, though he wondered if she could recognize him when he's not revealed in his most honest of forms, but rather with the prefered one. How would she react to seeing Nami was also something he wondered about as he stood there, looking up to his familiar and smiling widely like a child. Near this woman, Kaiki honestly felt like he could somehow be babied a little, mainly due to the large age gap. Nami of course, being much shorter than even the wolf-eared boy, couldn't help but stare up at the giant woman making her appearance. Her mouth was even half open, and very silent murmurs could be somewhat heard.
Kaiki wasted no time.
"Ojamashimasu~!"
Quite rudely yet in the way suiting a bold boy like him, he grabbed his Digimon partner and marched right in the room, avoiding security successfully once more. He allowed himself to bust in, for this was the room owned by non other than his own cousin. She shouldn't mind a sibling entering for a visit, should she? Let's hope not.
"It's been a long time, Neesan!"
With that sentence, Nami seemed to snap back from her shock.

She raised her eyebrow, she wasn't sure what the boy wanted, maybe her aunt sent him for some reason. Either way she was somewhat busy, but this was a good excuse to ditch working for a little bit so she decided to play along. "Your name was Kaiki right? I haven't seen your mother since she was released from the hospital, I'm glad she's doing well."
She walked over and sat down where she was, crossing her legs she looked at him, her Botamon bounced up and down. She noticed that he had a digimon with him as well. However she couldn't tell what it was at first glance. She had seen many digimon in her life, however there were many more to see. She grabbed her glass of lemon juice and took a sip before she continued talking.
"What brings you here? Hopefully you weren't trying to sneak into the changing room were you?" She smiled teasingly.

That was odd. Kaiki was living with his parents, both of them, wasn't he? Also, his terms with both of his parents are top shape, couldn't get way better than they already are, so there shouldn't be any problems in the family itself. Yet why was it that this woman was referred to as 'Neesan' by Kaiki? This question had occupied Nami's mind as the boy had the small chat with this new giant figure. Walking a little away from the two sitting humans, Nami thought to herself hard with her left hand holding her chin. A typical pose.
Kaiki for the while, had a host to occupy. Though with her words, he couldn't help but blush at the though. It was more than welcomed, if they'd let him peak at the mermaids getting dressed, but such dishonor could never be boasted in broad daylight in places like these without a proper reason or person to do such with. The image immediately popped up in his mind as he somewhat flinched backwards, flustered. The tease worked perfectly.
"Wh-- N-No! I'd never-- Neesan! That isn't funny!!"
He yelled out, then sitting down with a pout. It took short to calm himself down, but his blush still somewhat remained as he averted his gaze away, looking to the side. Trying to look cool when you were just teased and while wearing Inumimi and Shippou almost never works, and this time was part of the majority.
"I only wanted to come see how you're doing, is all. See, we didn't get to meet too much after mom started getting sick, so... Thought I'd hop by."
That was when Nami came up with a conclusion, her entire body shivering in the side.

Ran giggled at his response, he was clearly embarrassed at the prospect, he was however pretty cute. The ears were adorable, she had been told that he was a serious Otaku, but she hadn't really thought much about it. "Well thank you dear, It's always a pleasure to have family visit. I'm actually about to leave though, I have a lunch date with the misses, would you care to come?"
She hummed to herself, moving all her paper work into a folder, she hadn't had breakfast so she was quite looking forward to meeting Kohana at their favorite place, The Swiss. She looked over at Nami, "You haven't introduced your little friend yet."

At that moment, Nami's face turned into one you'd only see in drama shows; shock beyond belief. She finally decided on what kind of relation these two had going, although most likely being completely off-track. Kaiki simply rubbed the back of his head with a wide smile, laughing to himself at his relative's kind words. It was nice to have such a person nearby, and if only Kaiki had the chance he could come visit more often, though sneaking like that to the back is always tough work. He did that often (per his words at least), but it was still a pain and plenty trouble every single time, even if in a way the thrill was entirely worth it. He was also never caught once, which could mean something about the security around this place...
"Nihihi~. Sure, we'd love to join you! I didn't come here for nothing."
He then turned his body towards the back-faced Lunamon, about to introduce his Digimon partner. And then she snapped.
"By the way, this i-"
"IM-POSSIBLE-DESU!! Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE-DESU!!"
Dramatically, she turned all of the sudden at the two with a cutely horrified expression, then charging directly at her tamer - lunging at him and dropping him to the ground with his chair, hitting his stomach powerfully enough for him to somewhat lose it for a couple of seconds as she stood there, arms spread to the sides and body in-front of her knocked down partner, looking at Ran with a possessive expression before turning to herself, arms crossed and beginning her extra-long theory.
"To begin with, nobody even does those kinds of things nowadays-desu! But you had to go around and anger your three siblings until they kicked you out-desu!! Now look what happened, poor K-sama still cares for you so much, for his older sister, enough to come visit her after such tragedy-desu! I don't care what kind of quarrel you two had with your parents, but I can't stand here and do nothing as K-sama throws himself once more to such low level-desu! I really appreciate how you sacrificed your home and everything for the sake of K-sama, but even now it's unacceptable-desu! Who do you think you're talking to-desuka!? To stoop so low as to become some h-, h-h-h-h-h-h-, hooker, that is just wrong-desu!! And K-sama even still considers you his older sister-desu!!"
She then turned at once, jab-pointing at the older woman with a very decisive statement at hand:
"We! Will! Not! Let! This! Go! On! Desu!!!"
...
A moment of silence before Kaiki rose up, holding his stomach in pain.
"... And, this wild-imagination loon here is my Digimon partner, Nami the Lunamon. She's really happy to meet you."

She smiled, The little one was quite cute, a very hyper digimon for a very awkward kid, it seemed very fitting. She picked up Nami and hugged her, she felt as adorable as she appeared. Ran yawned as she sat the digimon down. "On second thought, I think it would just be best if you come and see me again, I'm sorry to run out on you, and you really shouldn't be here anyway. Call next time, kay?"
She pulled out her phone from her purse and showed Kaiki her number. The phone had a little mermaid case on it. Ran walked towards the door. "I'll escort you out kay? It's dangerous to sneak into a bar, we've had attempted robberies before so you could have gotten beaten by security. You need to think more before you do stuff... Hah..."
She suddenly had a flashback to a day when someone told her the exact same words, back when she was in the digital world. She really had grown quite a bit since the days of her youth.
