THE PLOT important plot . important plot . important plot It is the year 2055 in the city of Tokyo, Japan and the country is more prosperous than ever. The discovery of digital creatures known as digimon has managed to revolutionize the industry in many different ways. One company in particular, undergoing the name Pandora, has managed to open a gateway to the Digital World where digimon reside. During the first few stages of their venture into the Digital World, Pandora operatives managed to steal digieggs. Utilizing the knowledge they gained from the stolen digimon, Pandora further expanded into the Digital World and slowly attempt to make it their own. By making the land their own the company has managed to create their own digi-farm where they breed and experiment on digimon.
In doing so, Pandora managed to market these human-bred digimon out in Japan where they are exploited and abused as a form of entertainment. Utilizing artificial devices or digivices in short, to keep Pandora-bred digimon in control, Pandora is capable of keeping their digimon in check and in control. Digimon fighting is now considered as a popular sport in Japan. By distributing these digivices to the populace, people are capable of pitting their digimon against one another in an arena located in Tokyo as the ultimate form of deadly combat while millions of spectators watch. Most people don’t question it, for these digimon seem to relish the idea of strength, fame, and glory.
However, there is another faction of humans who plan on resisting Pandora’s expansion in the Digital World. Like the many tamers of Pandora, these humans also have digimon companions and their own digivices; however, these were bestowed upon them by the Digital World. This group, known widely to the public as activists, is the true essence of the tamers that have entered the Digital World before the founding of Pandora. They are the DigiDestined, and like the many before them, they plan on defending the Digital World from Pandora’s tyranny.
