Finally, finally.
He stepped through the gleaming double doors and into the Pandora Corporation's lobby, pale eyes wide and eager behind dirty glasses. His heart beat an excited rhythm against his ribcage, for all his cool temper did not show it, and he almost -- almost -- smiled.
Today he wore his best clothes -- a button-up red shirt and khakis, dotted with spots of moisture from the brief rainstorm he'd jogged through on the way over. He'd even bothered to comb his hair, parted and everything: For once, he was interested in making a good impression.
He wanted to make sure the person giving him his digimon thought he was well put-together; ensure them that he was a capable tamer.
Certainty in his step, he sauntered to the counter and cleared his throat to draw the attention of the girl seated behind it. "Hi, I'm here to sign up for a digimon."
He only barely kept the excited crack from his voice, and he took a deep breath to calm himself. "Uh, Inoue. Is my name. Inoue Haru." He fidgeted with the hem of his shirt.

It was such a long day, nothing exciting was happening no new tamers seemed to be coming in to claim their digimon it was just boring! And to top it all off she was stuck working the ENTIRE DAY how bad was that? Terrible right? She let out a sigh as she filled out some paper work that was due the following day her brain aching from the sounds of other receptionists around her speaking in Japanese. She hated the way they sounded it was like listening to chickens cluck all day long she just couldn't stand it, plus she couldn't understand anything they were saying away from the basic terms. She leaned back in her chair soon enough starting to day dream about things better than work, like the beach for instance... or things that spoke English, better yet food was a good topic to dream about!
Just when she was fixing to start drooling over the thought of a double bacon cheese burger she was snapped back to reality by the sounds of someone clearing their throat. She looked up at the boy standing before her arching a brow a bit at him when he stated his reason for being there. " Hmmm yeah that is pretty much the more popular reason for people coming here.", she said her tone a bit dry before she would stand from her seat and offer him a smile. " My name is Lily and I suppose I will be the one getting you through this today.", she said a bit more friendly now as she pulled out a file or two from her desk motioning to the chair across from her desk for him to sit down. " Well Haru are you going to be fighting your digimon in the arena battles?"

The young woman turned to greet him, looking less than enthused. He kept the meek, polite smile on his lips and ducked his head: He would do nothing to impede this process. He needed a digimon. And he needed a good one.
He eagerly took a seat, fishing his wallet out of his pocket in case she needed ID. (He'd brought everything he thought he might need; even his passport. Nothing would stand in his way today.) "It's nice to meet you, Lily. Thank you for seeing me," he replied, hands curled against his knees.
Was he going to be fighting his digimon-- He nearly rolled his eyes at the question; caught himself at the last moment and nodded politely instead. "Of course, miss. Some people practically make a living off their winnings," he replied, hopeful smile twitching at his lips, "I was hoping to get something strong, you know."

Did he think that she WANTED to see him? Wrong. She would rather not have to see anyone but alas here she was in this job doing what she did best apparently, assigning digimon to people who were deemed good enough to have one. She was a bit disappointed upon hearing that he did plan on fighting his digimon though she wasn't aloud to speak such words while at work, after all Pandora were the ones who funded these battles. " Uh huh.... so you plan on using your digimon for Financial gain. Isn't that pleasant.", she said in a dry tone before turning to her computer as she began to type stuff in. Hearing that he hoped to get a strong digimon she couldn't help but smirk and turn in her chair to face him once again tilting her head to the side unable to hold her words in any longer, " For someone that wants a strong digimon you sure don't have a strong personality.", she stated simply hardly caring if she had said anything that might rub him wrong or not.
" In all honesty your digimon is what you make of it. If you get a so called weak one train and it will be strong. If you get a strong one and dont train its going to get weak. They all have the same potential if their tamer just works with them.", she said before a bing would come up on her computer after submitting his name into her computer along with a bit of other information. " It looks like you have been approved for one~ Follow me.", she said as she stood from her chair and started walking off expecting him to walk behind and follow.

He shrugged blandly at Lily's commentary, pleasantly meek smile still plastered upon his face. Didn't the Pandora Corporation advertise their digimon as fighting creatures? Ah, well. The price of being friendly was always a steep one, Haru knew well from experience.
"I will certainly take all that into account, miss. I appreciate the tip," he replied, finally, fighting to keep any hint of a smirk from his lips. The computer beeped and Lily rose, and Haru was thankful he'd not been given more time to let his temper fray and snap. He stood and followed her down the hall, hands tucked into his pockets, and he peered curiously ahead.
"Do you keep them here, or transfer them in from the digital world? I imagine they're born over there," he asked, his drive to supply casual conversation stronger than the obvious press from Lily for his silence.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb= width, 330px, true] Lily in all honesty wasn’t normally a person that was short for words but something about this boy just screamed PUSHOVER. He seemed like the type to just roll over and take whatever punishment she could throw at him so why not get a little angst out? Besides this would help her to determine just what kind of digimon she wanted to give him. She was all about a challenge and truthfully he wasn’t posing any sort which led her to the perfect conclusion to a digimon she wanted to give him. “ We keep a few here for tamers like you that might inquire about one. Most of our stock is kept in the digital world however and brought over as needed.”, she replied with a sigh the sounds of her footsteps echoing down the hall as they moved.
If she had ran into him any where but here the two would have probably hit it off great, she would have been a lot more friendly and a bit more accepting of him, but her job wasn’t to be nice to people and if she wanted to fit him with the perfect digimon she needed to see just what he was like around others. ” I have the perfect digimon in mind for you~ One that has been kept back for quiet some time now. I think you will like it.”, she said looking back to him with a smile glad to be able to pawn this particular digimon off on someone finally. “ Besides fighting why else do you want a digimon? If you don’t mind me asking that is.”, she inquired as she reached the holding area for what few digimon they kept for new tamers.
( its all good~ Quality not quantity and all dat XD)
