This life isn't good enough; how many hundreds of years have I lived until now? But no matter what, I can try again with the Life Reset Button.
'And if I were to drift away, They all would find that quite okay, But if I passed while in my sleep, No one shall find my soul to keep.'
The slight snap of Hailey's pencil breaking was what ended the poem and ended the silence that the girl was sitting in, making her sigh as she turned the pencil over and began to erase the large mark that she'd left over the page from where the pencil had slipped while it was breaking. She brushed off the stray marks before rubbing the side of her hand against her pants to rid it of the graphite that had accumulated there, turning her gaze over the finished poem. It was a deal longer than the last four stanzas that she had spent so much time on, but it was perhaps the hardest part of the poem for her to be able to finish, the rest of it having come easily for her while she was out in a quiet corner of the shrine. People came out here to make wishes, but the general atmosphere was extremely peaceful, so she thought nothing of sitting there in a quiet spot off to the side and using the time to relax and finish some poetry she had started and then found impossible to finish with so many distractions. Now that she wasn't so caught up in her own little world of rhymes and meter, she could see that a few hours had passed judging by the way the muscles in her legs were cramping in protest to her position on top of them. Shifting a little from overtop her feet and wincing when the sudden rush of blood caused her to experience the feeling of pins and needles jabbing into her skin, she stretched her shoulders, arching her back and folding her hands together behind her head before she settled back down again, this time with her knees pulled up to her chest and her combat boots resting on the floor in front of her.
Looking at the sunset that was just beginning to come into play as the great golden orb first began to touch upon the ground, she wondered absently how much time she'd have until it got too dark and she'd have to find her way home to the tiny place she rented further in the city. She had always dreamed of being a Tamer, which was why some thought it odd she allied herself with the DigiDestined. But what Pandora was doing to the Digimon was wrong, and she would fight with all of what she had if it made them stop, even if she had to die to bring attention to the cause. A sigh escaped her chest and she hugged her legs closer to her body, not making any moves to try to get up from her spot under a gnarled tree of some kind. She didn't know why she was here anymore. No one really wanted her, and no one would miss her if she was gone. Since she'd moved to Japan, away from her family, it would be so easy to end things. There was no one and nothing to stop her. So why was she still here? She didn't really even know anymore, and for her, that lack of knowledge was a dangerous thing. It meant that she was standing on the edge and that it wouldn't take too much to send her toppling over one way or another.

How did he managed to get lost his first day in Japan? Inside of his head he was freaking out as if a million explosions were going off. But he had to remain calm for the sake of it. The fact that the sun was going down was not helping either. It would have been much nicer of his family to send a map or two with him in case this kind of situation occurred. No need to stand here he thought as he started walking down a path which he hoped would lead him back to the city.
As he walked down the path he could hear strange noises coming from the woods making him hurry along. He began to think about why he was in Japan in the first place. His parents sent him here to find other Digi-Tamers like himself. They did not want anything bad happening to him because of the group Pandora, so they sent him away to a place where there was rumors of other Tamers. Hopefully he could find one of these rumored Tamers that his parents heard about.
When he came into what he thought was a clearing he saw nothing but more trees, or so he thought. As he glanced over to his right he saw a young lady sitting under his tree. Was this an illusion or reality. Jay walked over to her with his hands in his pockets trying to think of what to say. He cleared his throat that way his words would come out without a stutter. "Hello there can you point me back in the right direction of the city..." He asked with a soft tone.

This life isn't good enough; how many hundreds of years have I lived until now? But no matter what, I can try again with the Life Reset Button.
Hailey's hand drifted towards her pocket, as it always would when she started thinking that perhaps it was better to just leave this world, step out of it just as quietly as she would any social situation she wasn't fond of, leaving behind no one who was really any wiser. Her fingers instinctively went straight for the small pocket knife her father had pressed into her hand at the airport parking lot, making her promise to slip it into a checked bag - she'd had no illusions about possibly being able to sneak it past security to put it on her person or in a carry-on - so that she would have it "just in case": She had agreed and stashed the knife away as promised, but the reality of the matter was that the only blood the blade had ever drawn had always been her own. She glanced about quickly as she drew the switchblade from inside the pocket of her pants, deciding the little clearing was isolated enough for her to feel comfortable flicking the blade open in preparation to trace a few new lines along her skin when something moved in one of the split pouch pockets of her battered red hoodie, a timid little gray-topped head and a fluffy gray-and-navy-striped tail poking out. Looks like her Digimon had finally started digivolving up to Rookie.
"H-Hailey?" the little In-Training Digimon murmured, tail twitching itself out of its prison of crimson fabric, "Wh-what are you doing?"
She scowled softly, not really wanting the little Digimon to interrupt her. "Nothing," she replied, her tone slightly hostile, though the little creature didn't respect the warning, climbing out of its spot to settle in her lap.
Streak's ears twitched once. "Someone's coming" the Digimon warned, and Hailey barely had time to shove her switchblade back into her pocket before she heard a throat being cleared.
She turned her head, crossing her arms in a subconscious motion, guarding herself despite the slight comfort of the Digimon in her lap. "It's about five miles in... that direction," she stated, pausing only to look about the clearing before she'd spotted the way she'd come. Streak nudged one of her arms, a silent admonishment to be polite, and she sighed, looking away. He didn't want to know anything about her. He just wanted to go home, and she didn't blame him. She wasn't really worth knowing anyway. "Are you new around here?" she asked quietly, knowing that her partner wouldn't stop nudging her until she attempted to make small talk. She'd rather just be left alone though, at least the she could be certain that no one really wanted her.

As she looked up at him telling him which way it was he could only facepalm himself mentally. "Thanks five miles...that is going to be such a long walk." He could not believe he had to walk almost another half an hour to get to his destination. This had certainly been an eventful day for him. When he looked at her up and down he noticed something sitting in her lap. It was a digimon one that he had never seen before. Was she possibly on of the Digi-Tamers that he was looking for here? Only way he could find out was by asking her not directly though.
Jay's bookbag began to stir a bit which meant Ace was waking up. Oh man hopefully Ace would not be hungry because they were so far away from a place of eating. Then all of a sudden Ace peeked his head out from the flap before turning around to face the young lady and her digimon. "Jay where are we...?" The digimon asked curiously taking in his new surroundings.
Not to be rude he would answer the young lady first before answering his partner. "Yes I am new around here...what about yourself?" He asked with a small smile on his face showing that he was friendly still. In another motion he reached behind him and pulled Ace out of his backpack holding him in his arms now. "Oh my name is Jay and this is my partner Ace and we are in Japan man or the wild part." He laughed slightly.

CROWLEYYABUSAME "It takes an idiot to do cool things!" "That's why it's cool!." A light sound of footsteps on stone could be heard as a blue haired boy climbed the stairs to the shrine. He had been in Japan for a couple of weeks now, but there had been very few places that he had actually visited. A shrine was usually the last place he'd go, since being there often made him feel guilty about the many pranks he had pulled. However, with a fresh life back in his true homeland, he wouldn't have to worry about that...yet. Huffing slightly as he emerged at the top, he grabbe the site of the towering gate as he walked through it. It was one of those spiritual gates he had often seen, but had not known the name to. He glanced around the silent area, a pleasant gale picking up and stirring his digital partner from its cozy slumber from atop Crowley's head. "Nnn... Where are we...?" Squeaked Ketomon, lazily opening it's eyes. Crowley gave a small hop to help it wake up."Hey there sleepyhead. We're at a shrine now so you'd better behave yourself!" Crowley told the small creature with a slight smirk. "Look who's talkin'!" Retorted the Digimon angrily, performing a heavy bounce so as to show its displeasure. It ruffled his hair slightly as it took in the surroundings, eventually settling on a more stand-out sight.
"Hey Blue, check it out! More meat bags!" Squeaked Ketomon happily, bouncing in place. Ketomon wasn't heavy but his bounces were quite tiresome, especially when they were on your head. Crowley looked over in the direction Ketomon was looking in and he saw two people. A girl sitting down wit a Digimon in her lap and a boy apparently talking to her, who also had a Digimon. "Stop callin' 'me meatbags you psycho... You're gonna get us both labeled wierd" Crowley replied. "Whatever. Hey! They have Digimon too! C'mon Blue, go say hi! C'mon, c'moooooooon!" Whined the little creature bouncing about his head. Crowley's head jerked slightly with each landing. "Argh, fine you little squirt. If I do it will you pipe down?!" Crowley responded with a sigh. Inhaling a large breath, he made his way slowly to the duo. They certainly looked nice enough... Maybe he could finally try talking to someone here. "H-Hey there." He began. He cleared his throat so as to shake off a bit of the anxiety. "My name's Crowley and I'm new in town... Or country, for that matter" he pressed on with a nervous chuckle. "What's up?" He asked them casually. Not bad so far. Now he just hoped that-- "HEY DIGIGUYS! I'm Ketomon! Who're you?!" Announced te small Digimon. ...Well, that went well.
Mood: Anxious, Excited. Digimon Mood: Excited.

This life isn't good enough; how many hundreds of years have I lived until now? But no matter what, I can try again with the Life Reset Button.
A brief stab of pity swept over her when she saw the way he had faltered at the fact that he would have to walk that whole distance and she paused in where she was reaching to try to get rid of the more persistent part of the graphite that still clung to her hand, one hand hanging there uncertainly in the air, every inch as awkwardly perched as Hailey felt just trying to make conversation. She pushed past it after a moment, however, rubbing the side of her hand against the fabric of her pants again in the hopes of ridding it of the smudges that covered the entire side of that hand. Streak remained in her lap, the little Caprimon watching the male before her carefully before its ears twitched again, watching as the other Digimon poked its head out of the backpack. The emerald-haired girl caught the moment out of the corner of her eye but chose to ignore it, well aware that Streak wasn't at a stage where the In-Training Digimon would really be able to put up a decent fight, and besides, the male didn't look like he really wanted to fight anyway. Instead, she scowled and scrubbed her hand a little harder against the side of her pants, wanting to get rid of the gray smudges clinging there stubbornly. She wanted to write for a little longer, and she hated when she still had ink or graphite still on the side of her hand, it made her feel like she was going to ruin what she was writing.
Streak took the initiative to speak, recognizing that Hailey wasn't really going to talk about herself. "Hailey's been here for a little while. A couple of years I think? I don't know, she got me while she was over here rather than back where she came from." The little Caprimon's tail swished, coming around to curl around the side of its body, though the In-Training Digimon was careful to keep the appendage from covering its mouth, ensuring that its speech was clear, though it was a bit of a struggle to get the bushiness clear enough for that. "Anyway, I'm Streak, and this is my Tamer, Hailey. Pleasure to meet you." The Digimon then blinked in surprise, only then noticing the footsteps that signaled another arrival, and it carefully repressed a sigh, not wanting to be impolite, especially considering that it was fairly certain that its Tamer would not take well to another person. "Nice to meet you. I'm Streak, and this is Hailey, my Tamer." The girl winced when the other Digimon burst into life, the loudness obviously grating on her shy nature and her preference for solitude, and Streak couldn't help but hope that the its Tamer wouldn't retreat into her shell and let her partner do all the talking. "Where are you guys from? Might be where Hailey came from too." The little Caprimon's tail twitched guiltily before it banished the thought. It was just curious about Hailey, and it wasn't its fault! She never really talked much, so it had every right to be curious!

"Ah it is a pleasure to meet you too Streak and Hailey." He smiled now, but then he turned to look up at the sound of footsteps coming towards them. This made Ace a little jumpy causing him to jump out in front of Jay as if he was going to protect him. That was cute of him but he doubted that an digimon fresh out of his egg would do much damage against something that was probably bigger than him. But not to ignore Streak he turned his attention back towards her. "Oh Ace and I are from Canada what about you all?"
Finally he saw what was in the woods making all that noise. Another young man and his digimon that seemed eager to meet them and Hailey. "No need to stutter we aren't hostile aliens" He laughed at his joke which probably made it lame. "But nice to meet you Crowley, I am Jay and I just got here too." He was going to say more but then stopped himself because he did not want to be seen as one who doesn't know when to shut up. "Hello Ketomon I am Ace Dodomon I am Jay's digimon nice to meet you." Ace bounced up and down as he spoke making it a little hard to understand him.
Great two active digimon things we going well. Jay was one step closer to making new friends hopefully. But eh he would let things play out before playing his hand.

CROWLEYYABUSAME "It takes an idiot to do cool things!" "That's why it's cool!." "Nice to meet you. I'm Streak, and this is Hailey, my Tamer." said the Digimon at the girls' side. She was garbed in clothing that would be considered odd by most people indeed. Still, there was something 'spunky' about it, despite the fact the she didn't seem like one who would talk that much. She seemed to be having a book of sorts in her hand. Crowley was curious, but he didnt want to pry...yet.
"Nice to meet ya' Streak, you too Hailey!" Crowley responded, flashing a nervous smile. "This is Drake. I hope you two can get along, ahaha..." he concluded with a faltering laugh. Streak would need to have some sort of patience if it were to deal with Drake.
"But nice to meet you Crowley, I am Jay and I just got here too." said the boy with long green hair. Both Hailey and Jay had green hair... Perhaps they were related? "Hello Ketomon I am Ace Dodomon I am Jay's Digimon nice to meet you." responded the little Digimon not Ketomon's outburst.
Crowley gave off a nervous chuckle in apology. "Aha.. Yeah, sorry about that. Nice to meet ya', Jay. Let's do our best in this place!" he said, raising his fist so as to fist-bump Jay. Meanwhile, Drake bounced off Crowley's head and onto the ground and watched with glee as Ace bounced. "Dodomon? Hah! That's funny!" responded the Digimon rudely. Crowley looked down at it, most displeased. "Drake! That wasn't cool, man! Apologize to Ace!" he scolded. The miniscule Digimon sighed and muttered guiltily "Sorry, Ace...". Crowley bowed slightly to Ace and Jay. "Sorry about that you guys, this one's got a pretty big mouth" he said, apologetically. Crowley then glanced around at them. He still couldn't shake off his intrigue towards the book. "Hey Hailey, watcha' writin'?" he asked her.
Mood: Nervous. Digimon Mood: Excited.
