She has blue eyes and wavy royal blue hair with side swept bangs that is almost always held up in a side-ponytail with a scrunchie or a cute hair accessory that she bought on her latest shopping trip. Most of the time, Faye is stuck in the uniform of the private girl's school she attends, but when out of school she mostly dresses in cute shorts and skirts with simple shirts and colorful shoes, or sneakers if the terrain requires it. But whether she's dressed fashionably or simply, Faye's clothing is always 100% designer. She's daddy's little princess and when she asks, she gets - as long as she has all the requirements, of course. Alec Delaney has always set high standards for his two children, right from the day Faye's older brother was born. They had to crawl before the textbooks said they should, their first word had to be more than six letters long. The expectations grew as Faye and her brother did, from test scores to extracurricular activities. The obvious disappointment if Faye didn't get the lead in an elementary school play was upsetting, especially for a child like herself. But praise in the form of gifts and treats gave her something to work hard for. She became competitive and fierce and honestly, more than a little snobby. By the time Faye was thirteen, the family had moved to Tokyo, Japan and she was in the top ten students in her grade. Her father, although he still openly asked why she wasn't number one, never failed to boast about how his daughter knew three languages (French, Italian and Japanese - actually, four including her native tongue), played four instruments (piano, flute, oboe and violin), tutored classmates at school, competed in national competitions with her school volleyball team and still had time to keep her room spotless and finish her homework. She was the perfect lawyer's daughter and in return, she got a full wardrobe (the size of a small room, fully decorated with a turnstile for shoes and a dressing table complete with lights around the mirror) and anything she asked for. Except, of course, affection. Because Alec Delaney didn't do affection. Although her relationship with her Dad is tense, Faye maintains a normal, moderately loving relationship with her Mother and older brother. Stephanie Delaney met her husband shortly after he emigrated to America, when he was just starting out as a newbie lawyer for his law firm. Unlike her ambitious husband, Steph is much quieter and down to earth, forever caring, not just for her family, but every living person or thing in her life too. Before she married and became a mother, Steph was an activist for many things. The environment, animals, the homeless. She fought for the helpless and defended them when they couldn't. Having the strongest parental relationship with her two children, Steph's passions have rubbed off on them both in some way or another, her son, who once dreamed of studying law, is currently fighting as a digi-destined like his sister, and her daughter secretly helps out activist groups (not just digimon groups either) online when her Dad isn't looking. As for her relationship with her brother... well... in a way, it's at least better than the one with her father. At least he doesn't make her work hard for approval. There are times when they get along, and a lot of times when they don't. Simple as. Faye's dream is to go to take on the family career and make her Dad proud - at least, proud until he learns that she plans to defend the rights of digimon. She's not too confident that he'll approve of those plans, so like her activities with the digi-destined, her career plan remains a well-kept secret.
