[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][atrb=style, background-color: #E8E8E8; width: 290px, bTable]”Tch… this isn’t so great…” Haruka thought to herself, her dark eyes glancing over the tiny bomb-like creature that rolled alongside her. She had recently been issued a digimon under the pretense that it would provide a lot of entertainment. All the other kids were doing it these days and some of them even used these beasts to fight for the viewing pleasure of others. Honestly, the girl couldn’t really see the value in all of it, but had decided that it could be interesting to experience what it’s like to have one of these at her beck and call. Really, it was too bad that hers looked so… unimpressive. Many of the advertisements she had seen showed all these impressive monsters, unlike her own. Glancing over at the bommon, the young girl sighed again, muttering, ”You look so stupid…” Overhearing her words, the digimon put on an angry look, his three eyes glaring at his tamer. The hissing sound of its fuse burning grew louder as it boiled with anger. Humans could be so naïve and ignorant at times. The bommon knew that, one day, he would become a glorious and powerful being. All he needed was just some time to develop. But it didn’t look like this girl would give him a chance. Of course, he could always speak up and talk back, but he was still a little too immature. Words just did not formulate in his head quite as well as he would like to articulate. Strolling through the park, Haruka managed to find an open space, just a circular, grassy field surrounded by lush, tall trees. It was the ideal location for her to get to know her new toy better. After all, it was supposed to be a living creature, like some sort of pet, right? Lightly tapping the bommon with the side of her high heel, the young girl nudged him in front of her. Honestly, that upset the poor digimon, but all he did was glare at Haruka, knowing that there wasn’t much else to do. Besides, she was his key to becoming stronger. Many of his companions were distributed amongst humans, who often forced the digimon to fight amongst each other, accruing strength little by little. Keeping that in mind, the bommon could only oblige upon Haruka’s request. ”Entertain me. You can understand me, right? Do something cool. You’re more than just a stupid looking bomb, right?”With its tail, the bommon generated an intense sound, like loud crackling. The sounds caused Haruka to jump, equally surprised. Simultaneously, it caused her to giggle immediately after as she said, ”Wow! Anything else?!” As she said this, the bommon suddenly became enveloped by a bright white light, data streaming around her as the bommon suddenly changed shape. Once the light subsided, a different creature emerged in the wake. ”Huh… so you can change…?” Haruka muttered to herself, taking out her D-Touch as she inspected the information, confirming that it was the same digimon. ______ WORDS 500 TAGS open NOTES lala ~ CREDIT butters of gangnam style! |

"You're just the cutest thing ever, aren't you!" Naomi said to her Botamon, carrying it around in her arms and petting it. The little black, hair, ball... bunny thing was her digmon, though she honestly has no idea how it came to be hers. One night she was sleeping alone, the next she woke up cuddling it like it was a stuffed animal, and it honestly freaked her out.
Though the digimon was not able to speak coherently yet, just short words and incomplete sentences, but that just made it all the more adorable to Nao. She wasn't a part of pandora, she was just a regular civilian until now. Now, she was digidestined, but she didn't realize it. People assumed she was Pandora, and she'd correct them, which made people look at her weirdly, so she stopped telling people.
Botamon liked the attention that Naomi gave it, love and affection was what really brought out a Digimon's true strength, not meaningless battle that she sees going around with all these Pandora tamers, in fact, it made her incredibly sad seeing them being treated as toys and not people.
As she was walking through the park, she noticed a bright light. She knew very little about digimon, but she knew they changed forms, and that is apparently what happened down there. The act fascinated her, and she had to investigate.
Seeing what had happened must have motivated Botamon in some way, because all of a sudden, it started to shine as well. Turning into Tokomon, it looked up to Naomi. "Hi!" A simple greeting, but sent Naomi into a cuteness overload. She was so excited that she forgot what she began to do. She continued heading down over to the person that also had a newly evolved digimon.
"Hi, I'm Naomi, and this is...." She pulled out her d-tector to find out what Botamon had changed into. "this is Tokomon... though maybe I should give you a nickname..." She started rambling to herself, forgetting that she was supposed to be talking to someone else at the moment.

It was apparent that she, too, had a digimon with her. Observing the stranger, the young girl came to the assumption that she probably treated her digimon like a pet. That seemed to be a common occurrence amongst girls. To her surprise, the other girl actually approached her shortly after, announcing her name. Just shortly after, however, Naomi trailed off, stopping mid-introduction, distracted by something else. Normally, she would have bugged out over this, but, at this moment, she didn’t really mind. If anything, Naomi’s arrival could only be a good thing. Haruka was new to this whole digimon deal. Hearing the other girl ramble to herself, Haruka repeated the words inside her head, ”A nickname…?” Looking back at her missimon, she wondered what kind of name would suit the creature. Such a thought had never occurred to her. After all, her own creature did not even resemble any conventional critter you could find in the real world, being a missile and all. Really, her digimon seemed more like some sort of military technology, not a living being. It was more like a weapon than a toy, which somewhat bothered her. What was she supposed to do with something like that? She didn’t care about battling in the arenas at Tokyo or anything. Perhaps this would change, but she found the idea to be stupid. Racking her mind, the girl struggled to come up with a good name. Seriously, nothing seemed to fit. Cute names definitely didn’t work. Missimon was pretty ugly and it seemed more like a violent digimon than anything, but delinquent-like names just seemed so juvenile. ”Hmmm….!” Haruka scrunched her eyebrows, humming a little as she attempted to shuffle through a random assortment of names. At the same time, she kept her focus on the missimon, which stared back, confused as to what its tamer was doing. ”Okay…! I guess you look a little bit like a shark, so I’ll just name you Samehada.” she declared to the digimon, who had no choice but to accept it. Her tone of voice had been on a more nonnegotiable side and was a statement, not a request. Samehada didn’t really mind though. It seemed like a fine name and it cared little for it to begin with. Instead, its interests lay in the other digimon nearby. Whatever it was, it seemed to be of the same level as the missimon, prompting it to take preemptive action. Flying straight toward the tokomon, Samehada prepared its Missile Crash, a sharp tackle that utilized its body’s form to inflict damage to others. Unaware of what was happening, Haruka neglected to stop her digimon, choosing instead to watch curiously as to what it was accomplishing. Of course, she had no idea that her missimon intended to harm, though it isn’t certain she would care even if she knew. ______ WORDS 500 TAGS open NOTES lala ~ CREDIT butters of gangnam style! |
